Archive Access & Research Services
The New France Architectural Heritage archive provides multiple levels of access to accommodate different research needs and professional requirements.
Digital Archive Access
Our comprehensive online collection is available 24/7, providing searchable access to over 2,800 historical documents, architectural drawings, photographs, and interactive maps. Advanced filtering tools enable efficient research by date, location, building type, or construction technique.
Physical Archive Appointments
In-person research sessions at our Québec reading room provide access to original documents, rare books, and specialized reference materials. Appointments are available Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST, and can be scheduled up to two weeks in advance.
Professional Research Services
For clients requiring extensive archival research, our staff historians can conduct targeted investigations on specific buildings, construction techniques, or historical periods. This service is particularly valuable for restoration projects requiring detailed historical documentation.
